We are delighted to welcome you to the 18th Annual Conference of the Swiss Society of Sport Science (4S), hosted by the Department of Sport, Exercise and Health at the University of Basel, Switzerland.

Under the theme “If exercise is medicine: What comes next?”, this conference will explore the next generation of research and practice in sport and exercise science. Nationally and internationally leading scholars and practitioners will present innovative concepts that extend beyond established paradigms, addressing how physical activity, exercise and sport can be more effectively leveraged to promote health and performance across the lifespan.

The conference provides a dynamic platform for researchers, clinicians and professionals from academia, practice and industry to exchange ideas, share cutting-edge findings and engage in critical discussion on emerging challenges and opportunities in the field.

The scientific program will feature keynote lectures by distinguished experts, alongside high-quality oral presentations and interactive sessions designed to foster dialogue between science and practice. We  encourage contributions from all areas of sport science, health and performance that advance interdisciplinary perspectives and innovation.
